Avoid Spring Cleaning

It’s that time of the year: Spring Cleaning! We save this time of year to thoroughly clean the house, garage, basement, etc. But, at Don Aslett’s Cleaning Center, we do not believe in Spring Cleaning. If you do just a little bit here and there throughout the year, Spring Cleaning will be an event from the past.

Here are some techniques to avoid Spring Cleaning forever!

  • Dust as you go- Instead of sitting while your favorite show is on a commercial break, keep a Microfiber cloth in each room and wipe down the surfaces that collect dust. Get the family to do the same when they are in-between things. Our Microfiber cloths are perfect for the job! Each pack comes with six cloths to place in each room in the house for quick dusting, and are great at soaking up those spills!
  • Vacuum where needed- Quickly go over high-traffic areas often. You’ll be amazed how clean it keeps the room, and how long the carpet will last! Carpet in less traffic areas and under furniture need it less often. The Lindhaus vacuum makes vacuuming a breeze!
  • Get spots quickly- The sooner you work on spots in the carpet, the easier they are to remove. Keep Oxy Action or Perky Spotter around to quickly and easily remove those stains. Our Perky Spotter is your small mess rescue! Perky Spotter removes food, drink ink, cosmetic and even copy toner stains from your carpet. It is the fastest way to clean up everyday messes!
  • Hard floors? – Get one of our Mini Pro Mops! With many heads to use for any type of mess, you’ll wonder how you lived without it. Use the Dust Mop head to quickly keep your floor free of dust, hair and crumbs. Use the Absorbent Mop head to soak up those spilled drinks. The Damp Scrubbing Mop head will keep you floors sparkling with less rinsing needed. And each is made with Microfiber, so simply throw them in the laundry after each use.
  • A bathroom that shines – We have many products that make help you make your bathroom sparkle! Our Toilet Bowl Set keeps everything together to clean you toilet. Remember, use the Johnny Mop to lower the water level so you can clean that ring! Them apply the Safety Foam to the Johnny Mop and scrub the exposed surface. When done, place them in the Caddy for clean and convenience storage! With the Johnny Mop, Safety Foam and Caddy, cleaning the toilet is quicker, easier, and cleaner!
  • Mats are a must! – We have said for years that floor mats are one of the most effective ways to keep your house clean! Most of the dirt that comes into the house is from your shoes. With our mats, both exterior and interior, catch more than 80% of the dirt from coming inside. Our Astroturf Mats are the best defense at stopping dirt. Each blade of synthetic grass works like tiny little scrapers to clean every boot, show and paw that comes through the door. And don’t forget a good interior mat. They are better than an old piece of carpet by creating a static charge that attracts dirt and moisture into the fibers and away from your carpet. When any of the mats get dirty, just take them outside and shake or hose down and let dry.
  • Keep Everything together – It is easier and quicker to know where your cleaning tools are when a mess occurs. Check out our updated Cleaning Kits. Each has everything you need to keep your house clean. And, each comes with lots of Microfiber, including a dust mitt. The Complete Cleaning Kit also includes our Mini Pro and Wet/Dry Mop Pad. These cleaning Kits are a great way to start and avoid Spring Cleaning!

So let’s get started! Follow these suggestions and you will be amazed this spring that all the work is already done. Now you can get any early start to your garden, enjoy the free time to read a book (one of Don’s would be great!) or spend more time with the family.
